In a cohort of pregnant women with chronic salpingoophoritisand iron deficient anemia placental changes mostly represented by compensative and adoptive changes that can be classified as compensated placental dysfunction. This study demonstrates the high risk of placental dysfunction in a cohort of pregnant women with chronic salpingoophoritis, iron deficient anemia and hypertensive disorders. As soon as risk factors of placental dysfunction have been found preventive measures may ensure uneventful pregnancy course and delivery of healthy newborn.
