Principles of safe obstetrics are based on a set of scientifically based approaches based on the achievements of modern science and practices whose purpose is to reduce maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. In addition to the positive influence on the psycho-emotional state of a woman in labor, free choice of position, the presence of a partner helps to agree on obstetric interventions. The evaluation of the partnership labor in Ivano-Frankivsk city clinical maternity hospital have caused a significant increase of the number of uncomplicated birth, decrease of urgent caesarean sections by 6,3±1,2 % (p<0,05), reduction of maternal injuries (p<0,05), decrease of perinatal mortality and complications of the postpartum period.
