General characteristics of norms of common law The current Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as noted, was adopted by referendum on 30 August 1995 and came into force from the day of official publication of results of the referendum on 8 September of the same year. The current Constitution published October 8, 1998. The Constitution consists of a preamble and 9 sections, uniting 98 articles.
