АВТОРЕФЕРАТ диссертации на соискание ученой степени Роль Сирии в межарабских отношениях на Ближнем Востоке (1991-2003 гг.) по специальностиKeywords: SAR, The Arab Socialist Ba"ath Party, the League of Arab States, Middle East, inter-Arab relations, the Kuwait crisis, the Iraq crisis, the Middle East settlement. The research methodology is based on applying the principles of consistency, historism and objectivity, as well as specially-historical (historical and genetic, historical and comparative, historical and systematic) and scientific methods. Scientific novelty of the research is primarily in the fact that in the process of work we used a holistic approach to the analysis of the role and place of the Syrian Arab Republic in the system of inter-Arab relations as well as in the context of regional security issues and cooperation, which involves analysis of both internal and external factors affecting the policy of Syria. For the first time in the Belarusian historiography of international relations we considered Inter-Arab politics of SAR in the period 1991-2003 when in the context of global changes in the international situation, the sharp weakening in the region Syria has had to change the foreign policy priorities to keep the role of one of the regional leaders. Statements and conclusions of the thesis research can be used in teaching of courses «History of International Relations», «Theories of International Relations», «Current problems of foreign policy in the Middle East and South Asia», as well as in the preparation of corresponding textbooks.
